Personal data

  1. The administrator of personal data processed in connection with the Re-minDE event is SWPS University with its registered office in Warsaw 03-815 with its registered office in Warsaw, at ul. Chodakowska 19/31, 03-815 Warsaw, NIP 1180197245, REGON 011947981.
  2. The administrator will not make automated decisions, including through profiling, on the basis of personal data.
  3. SWPS University can be contacted by e-mail: contact@re-mind.pl, by phone at 22 517 96 00 or in writing to the address of the administrator's registered office.
  4. Providing personal data is a necessary condition for the conclusion and implementation of the agreement on participation in the event. The consequence of not providing data will be the inability to conclude and execute such a contract.
  5. SWPS University has appointed a Data Protection Officer (hereinafter referred to as “DPO”), who can be contacted by e-mail iod@swps.edu.pl or in writing to the address of the controller's registered office. The DPO can be contacted in all matters concerning the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights related to data processing.
  6. The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority dealing with the protection of personal data (President of the Office for Personal Data Protection).
  7. Personal data will be processed in order to:  
    1. conclusion and performance of the contract; the legal basis is the necessity of data processing for the performance of the contract - Article 6 (1) (b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: “GDPR”);
    2. tax and accounting settlements; the legal basis for data processing is the fulfillment of a legal obligation incumbent on the controller - Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR;
    3. asserting or defending against claims; the legal basis for the processing is the legitimate interest of the controller in asserting claims or defending against claims - Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
  8. The data subject has the right to request: access, rectification, deletion or restriction of processing, portability and the right to object. In order to exercise such rights, please contact the DPO (iod@swps.edu.pl).
  9. In addition, Users' personal data (in particular: name and surname, company name, NIP, registered office/residence address and transaction details) will be processed in order to fulfill the legal obligations incumbent on the Organizer, arising from the provisions of tax law, in particular the Act on Goods and Services Tax (VAT), regarding the issuance and storage of structured invoices in the KSeF system.
  10. SWPS University treats personal data with the utmost care and responsibility. Although we try to keep the transfer of your personal information to a minimum, there are certain circumstances in which it is necessary to disclose it to third parties. In such cases, we transfer your personal data to entities providing services to SWPS University, in particular to entities providing services in the field of archiving and destruction of records, IT services, including electronic payments or courier or postal services.
  11. SWPS University has entered into a co-administration agreement with the entities organizing the events in question, and details of the responsibilities of each of the administrators are contained in the co-administration agreement, the content of which is made available at the request of the individual.
  12. SWPS University will process the collected personal data until the end of the process of purchasing tickets for the event and later during and after its completion for the period resulting from the regulations obliging SWPS University to archive personal data for tax reasons, for example. Personal data processed by SWPS University on the basis of consent will be processed until its withdrawal, which can be done at any time.

  1. SWPS University in accordance with the provisions of Art. 399 and Art. 400 of the Act of 12 July 2024 Electronic Communications Law (Journal of Laws 2024 item 1221 as amended) hereby informs that the website uses cookies technology.
  2. What are cookies?

When using the Services on your end device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.), small files (in particular text) containing information necessary for the correct use of the website are stored so-called cookies. By saving them, it is possible, for example, to ensure the stability and security of the Services. Cookies are also used to collect statistical data in order to tailor the Website to your preferences.

These files are not harmful to your device in any way and do not change its settings or the settings of the software installed on it. The contents of these files can only be read by the server that created them.

The condition for the operation of “cookies” is always their acceptance by your browser and not deleting them from the disk. By changing the settings of the browser of the computer that is used to visit our Services, you can delete or block cookies. Most web browsers have permission to use cookies by default.

SWPS University uses the following types of cookies:

  1. Session cookies - files that are stored on the device and remain there until the end of the session of a given browser. At the end of the session, the saved information is then permanently deleted from the device's memory;
  2. Persistent cookies — files that are stored on the device and remain there until they are deleted. Terminating a browser session or disabling your device does not delete them from your device;
  3. External cookies — information coming from, for example, advertising servers, company servers and service providers (e.g. search or maps placed on the website) cooperating with the owner of a given website.
  1. Purposes for the collection of cookies

In the case of using the Websites with settings enabling the use of cookie technology and in the event that you provide us with your personal data, e.g. by means of an electronic form, cookies will become possible to associate them with your person and may be processed on the basis of the legitimate interest of the administrator:

  1. for marketing purposes. Use of user behavior history and personal data provided through electronic forms to segment data subjects according to criteria such as: preferences, place of residence, level of education, interests and others. The purpose of the above action is to send users who have consented to receive commercial information - only that information in which they may be potentially interested;
  2. for statistical purposes, e.g. to create statistics that help to understand how users of the Services use the websites of the Services, which makes it possible to improve their structure and content);
  3. for purposes relevant to the functioning of the website necessary to ensure the security, stability and functionality of the website. It is important to know that the information stored in cookies on devices facilitates the use of the Services. In addition to our own cookies, third-party cookies may be placed and used on our services, which belong in particular to advertisers, operators of systems that analyze and report viewership;
  1. Third-party cookies are used for the following purposes:
  1. collecting statistical data on the popularity and usability of individual websites of the Services or their elements;
  2. display behavioral advertising - tailored to the interests of users;
  3. the creation of behavioural profiles of users, in particular in order to avoid repeated presentation of the same advertisement to the same audience and to present behavioural advertising that takes into account the interests of the audience;
  4. support of third-party technological components, such as Adobe Flash or Facebook Connect;
  5. For uniform font representation, we use so-called web fonts provided by Google. When you call up our websites, your browser loads the required web fonts into the browser cache in order to correctly display in it the types of fonts we have selected and thus the texts contained on the page, to do this, the browser you are using must connect to Google servers. As a result, Google learns that one of the addresses of our services has been called on your device with a unique identifier.
  1. The legal basis for the processing of personal data in terms of a unique browser or device identifier is the legitimate interest of the controller to maintain a consistent and attractive presentation of our online services, using Google Fonts web fonts.
  2. You have the ability to configure your browser so that fonts are not loaded by Google servers (for example, by installing add-ons). If your browser does not support Google fonts or access to Google servers is blocked, the text will be displayed using the standard system font. Please note that then our website will no longer be compatible with our screen design.   3. How you can enable or disable cookies

It is up to you to decide whether cookies will be saved and stored on your device. You can make all the changes to the settings of your web browser yourself. Please note, however, that restrictions on the use of cookies may make it difficult or impossible to use our Services.

  1. SWPS University also uses the standard log files of the web server to count the number of visitors to the Website and to evaluate the technical capabilities of the Services. The Google Analytics cookies we use are used to compile website statistics provided by Google. The information generated by these cookies relates to your use of our Services (including your IP address and information about the location of your computer on the Internet) and is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of our Services, to compile reports on your activities on the Services and to provide other services related to your website activity and internet usage.

  1. Final Provisions

SWPS University reserves the right to change the principles of the Privacy Policy for important reasons. Users will be informed about changes to the Privacy Policy at least 7 (seven) days in advance. Changes to the Privacy Policy will be published on the event website. With each change, a new version of the Privacy Policy will be made public with a new date.
