Aleksandra Szymków-Sudziarska

Aleksandra Szymków is an associate professor in the Institute of Psychology at SWPS University. She heads the Center for Research on Biological Basis of Social Behavior. In her research, she employs evolutionary perspectives to explain social behaviors as well as human social cognition. She leads projects on the dynamics of close romantic relationships and cross-sex friendships, the social consequences of the behavioral immune system, and the role of the ovulatory cycle in women's cognitive and sexual functioning. She is a member of the Polish Social Psychological Society (PSPS), the European Human Behaviour and Evolution Association (EHBEA), and the Human Behavior and Evolution Society (HBES). She serves as vice-president of the Polish Society for Human and Evolution Studies (PTNCE).
