Jennifer Hall

Dr Hall has expertise in international public mental health. She currently leads the WHO Regional Office for Europe's work to strengthen the quality of child and adolescent mental health care, working with stakeholders across the Region to drive real-world impact.

Dr Hall’s WHO career began at Headquarters where she worked to develop scalable psychological interventions. She then moved to Fiji where she was the WHO Mental Health Focal Point, providing tailored mental health support to 21 Pacific Island Countries and Territories, and now she is based in  Greece in the WHO Athens Office on Quality of Care and Patient Safety and Mental Health and Well-being Programme.

She has over 17 years of international experience in mental health. Key achievements include leading the development of the first WHO Regional Office for Europe Quality Standards for Child and Youth Mental Health Services, the design of a global WHO chatbot psychological intervention for adolescents, and individual country tailored to strengthen mental health systems, such as the update of policy and legislation.

Dr. Hall is trained as a clinical psychologist, and worked clinically between Uganda and the UK specializing in complex trauma before joining WHO, and is active in publishing peer reviewed scientific articles.
