Joanna Gutral

Joanna Gutral, PhD is a psychologist, psychotherapist, and psychoeducation specialist. She is affiliated in her teaching and research work with the Department of Social Applications of New Technologies and the 4Cast Centre for Climate Action and Social Transformation at SWPS University in Warsaw. She provides individual psychotherapy for adults using the cognitive-behavioural approach. She is a member of the Polish Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy and the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies. She is a recipient and principal investigator of research grants funded by the National Science Centre. Dr Gutral is actively involved in evidence-based psychoeducational initiatives, delivering lectures and workshops, and hosting the award-winning podcast Gutral Gada (Podcast of the Year 2022, Influencers Live 2023, Vivelo Top Creators). She is the author of the regular column Gutral pyta in Newsweek Psychologia. She is also a co-author of the widely discussed investigative report Pułapki psychowashingu, published in Pismo Magazine and nominated for the Teresa Torańska Award. Her work focuses on promoting scientifically validated and evidence-based methods.
