
Justyna Ziółkowska
Justyna Ziółkowska is a psychologist and associate professor at the SWPS University, in the Faculty of Psychology in Wroclaw. She does research into suicidal behaviour, using qualitative methods of data analysis. She is the co-author and co-editor of monographs on death and suicide, including Suicide and the Self: A Discourse Analysis Approach to Self-Narratives of Suicide (2025), Discursive Constructions of the Suicidal Process (2020) and the Bloomsbury Handbook of the Language of Death and Dying (2026). Outside academic work, she is actively engaged in public health initiatives. She is a member of the Working Group on Suicide and Depression Prevention at the Public Health Council of the Ministry of Health, and an expert for the 'Life Is Worth Talking About' initiative.
