Piotr Plichta — Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Professor of the University of Wrocław at the Institute of Pedagogy (in the Department of Education of People with Disabilities). Special educator with many years of practical experience. Author and co-author of about 100 scientific publications, including the monograph: “Socialization and education of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities in the digital age”. Representative of Poland in several international scientific networks COST (including COST IS 0801 Cyberbullying: coping with negative and enhancing positive uses of new technologies, in relationships in educational settings, Cost Action CA16207 European Network for Problematic Use of the Internet and CA18115 Transnational Collaboration on Bullying, Migration and Integration at School Level). Participant of national and international teams, research projects, educational and scientific societies. Author and co-author of educational materials, for example the preventive program IMPACT (Interdisciplinary Model for Countering Aggression and Technological Cyberbullying - now “Peers”), the project of the Center for Civic Education “Dobre Lexes” and “School of Welfare” and “Be Internet Awesome For All” of the School with Class Foundation. Member of the team conducting the study “Together in the classroom. Children from Ukraine in Polish schools. Potentials and Challenges in Building a Multicultural School in the Context of the War in Ukraine”. Scientific director of the study “Special school students and alcohol drinking - diagnosis of the situation”. Author of expert reports commissioned by various research and educational institutions. Participant of many scientific and educational conferences. Member of the Scientific Council of Methodological Seminars of Special Pedagogy, Polish Society of Media Education and Expert Team of Special Pedagogy at the Section of Special Pedagogy KNP Polish Academy of Sciences. Participant of the Polish team EU Kids Online. Winner of the “100 List” of the Broad Agreement for Digital Skills in Poland for 2023.
