Waldemar Żurek

Waldemar Żurek

Minister of Justice, lawyer, judge of the Regional Court in Cracow specializing in civil law.

For more than 14 years he served as spokesman for the Regional Court in Kraków. In 2002-2003 he was the chief specialist in the Department of Common Courts at the Ministry of Justice and participated in the work of the Civil Law Codification Commission. In 2009 and 2010, he was temporarily seconded to the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecutor's Office, where he performed, among other things, the duties of secretary of the competition committee for conducting the recruitment for the general application.

In the years 2010-2018, he was a member of the National Council of the Judiciary (two terms), serving at the same time as the spokesperson of this body.
