
Christopher J. Carpenter
Dr. Christopher J. Carpenter is an associate professor at the University of Tennessee, U.S.A. He researches how people respond to messages in biased ways, how to identify and recruit influential people for public health campaigns, and how people interact on social media. He co-authored two textbooks, "Critical Questions in Persuasion Research" and "The Science of Gaining Compliance" and published over 70 academic research articles. The International Communication Association has awarded him the John E. Hunter Meta-Analysis Research Program Award and the Outstanding Contribution to Communication Science Award.
