Social Influence Under the Microscope: How to Persuade in a Responsible Way?
Description:
Considering social influence in the world around us is fascinating — primarily because there is abundant evidence to support its real effectiveness in shaping human attitudes and behavior. Even more intriguing, however, is his imagined power: manipulating people, social engineering, and even “mind programming.” In this block, we will try to determine to what extent knowledge about the mechanisms of social influence is actually applied in practice and how much truth is hidden in slogans about manipulating people in “seemingly democratic societies”.
