Ewa Godlewska – Founder and President of the Management Board of FLO – Foundation for the Treatment of Obesity
A graduate of the Faculty of Human Nutrition at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), with degrees in Management and Marketing, Public Relations and Strategic Corporate Communication, and EU Funds.
For nearly 20 years, she has been involved in health and education. An expert with experience in developing strategies and implementing educational campaigns in the field of health. For many years, she conducted patient education in nutrition related to diabetes, overweight, and obesity disease. She co-created the Warsaw Center for Comprehensive Obesity Treatment and Bariatric Surgery at Czerniakowski Hospital in Warsaw.
Obesity disease has affected her daughter and her sister.
Originator and implementer of the educational campaign “Obesity is a disease. Don’t judge, don’t make people diet—treat it instead.” Through cooperation with members of parliament, she organized the first scientific conference in Poland devoted to obesity disease at the Senate of the Republic of Poland, as well as the exhibition “Don’t Judge Me! It’s Not My Fault. #ILiveWithObesity,” which was also presented at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
Initiator of the establishment of the Obesity Prevention Team operating within the Public Health Council, of which she is a member. An advocate for raising awareness of obesity disease, its prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
