
Jan Kazak
A scientist and expert specializing in sustainable urban development and socio-environmental systems. He is an Associate Professor at the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, where he leads the Sustainable Cities and Regions research group, and a Visiting Professor at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands) within the Urban Ageing research group. In his research, he bridges engineering and technical expertise with a social perspective, focusing on one of the most pressing challenges of modern metropolises: population ageing. As a researcher and consultant, he focuses on designing inclusive, age-friendly spaces, with a particular emphasis on the mobility of older adults and its impact on their quality of life and active participation in urban environments.
