
Joanna Wyka
Prof. Joanna Wyka is a specialist in the field of food technology and human nutrition and dietetics. He conducts research on the determinants of diet, nutritional status and nutritional factors affecting the health of various population groups, including the elderly. She is the author of numerous publications and scientific monographs devoted to, among others, nutritional prevention of macular degeneration (AMD), nutritional intervention in the treatment of diabetes, obesity as well as nutritional support and dietary supplementation of athletes. He is actively involved in teaching activities by conducting lectures and exercises in many fields of study at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław, he is the head of the Postgraduate Studies “Psychodietetics” and “Nutrition and dietary supplementation of athletes”, he is also the supervisor of the Student Scientific Circle “Human Nutrition”.
