
Karol Jachymek
Karol Jachymek is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities in Warsaw, SWPS University. He holds a PhD in the Humanities and specializes in media and cultural studies. Expert in youth culture, young people's media practices, generational changes, digital media communication, education, and pop culture trends. Founder of the Observatory of Media Practices – an R&D center operating at SWPS University. Author of the book "With Their Nose in a Smartphone: What Our Children Do on the Internet and Should We Really Worry About It?" published in 2024 by Agora Publishing House. He has extensive experience in creating and implementing educational programs. He regularly collaborates with leading Polish cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations, and training centers focused on media education. He also supports business partners by providing expertise on contemporary media phenomena, shaping conscious digital habits, and intergenerational communication (particularly with representatives of Generation Z and Generation Alpha). He has developed and implemented joint projects with, among others: the National Centre for Culture, Mazovia Institute of Culture, SAS, USP, Bank Millennium, Bank Spółdzielczy, BGK, Copernicus Science Centre, Center for Citizenship Education, Experyment Science Centre, School with Class Foundation, Children's University, National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute, and Digital Centre (Centrum Cyfrowe).
