
Katarzyna Grunt-Mejer
Doctor of Humanities in Psychology (Faculty of Psychology UW), integrative psychotherapist (Dialog School of Psychotherapy), psychosexologist (European Federation of Sexology and European Society for Sexual Medicine) and bioethicist (Institute of Philosophy of UW). Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Health at the Faculty of Psychology and Law of SWPS University in Poznań.
Founder and head of two postgraduate courses at SWPS University in Poznań: Practical Sexology and Psychedelics and altered states of consciousness: applications in psychotherapy and medicine. Researcher of the social perception of non-normative relationships, the phenomenon of medicalization of sexuality and the concept of norm in sexology. Director and researcher in national and international research projects.
She is a member of the scientific council of the Polish Psychedelic Society and a member of scientific societies: The International Academy of Sex Research, The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, The European Association for the History of Medicine and Health, the European Society for Health and Medical Sociology and the Philosophy of Science Association. Author of numerous publications in the field of psychology and philosophy of sexuality.
In therapeutic work, she helps her clients experience a life full of meaning, courage and satisfaction. Her particular areas of work include supporting people in consensually non-monogamous relationships, those with sexual and relational challenges, and those with non-standard sexual, gender, and relational identities. She also provides education in the safe and effective use of psychedelics and empathogens in medicine and psychotherapy and deals with the integration of psychedelic experiences.
