
Maria Mrowczynska
Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education
Prof. Maria Młowczyńska is responsible at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for matters concerning innovation and development as well as university organization, education and student affairs.
She graduated from the Faculty of Melioration and Environmental Engineering of the Agricultural Academy in Wrocław, majoring in geodesy and cartography. In 2006 she obtained a PhD degree, and in 2013 — a doctor of habilitation in technical sciences in the discipline of geodesy and cartography. She has been associated with the University of Zielona Góra since 1999. In 2016-2019 she was Vice-Dean for Science of the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Environmental Engineering, and from 2019 to 2020 — Director of the Institute of Civil Engineering and Chair of the Council of the Scientific Discipline Civil Engineering and Transport, and in 2020-2023 — Vice-Rector for Cooperation with the Economy.
She is the author or co-author of monographs and textbooks, as well as more than 130 publications on the use of artificial intelligence to solve problems in engineering geodesy and applications of AI in construction, spatial planning and environmental engineering. In his current term he sits on the Committee of Geodesy of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Association of Polish Surveyors and the Polish Association of Civil Engineers and Technicians.
Since the beginning of his professional work, he cooperates with the socio-economic environment. She is the author and co-author of several dozen expertises in the field of measurements of displacements and deformations of construction objects. She led projects implemented jointly with industry. She is a co-author of national and European patent applications and utility models. He has professional qualifications in the field of geodetic investment management.
