Michał Wierzchoń

Michał Wierzchoń – a cognitive psychologist and neuroscientist, corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He serves as Director of the Institute of Psychology and the Centre for Brain Research at Jagiellonian University, and as President of the European Society for Cognitive Psychology. His research focuses on the mechanisms of consciousness—from perception and memory to self-awareness—combining advanced behavioural methods with state-of-the-art neuroimaging techniques, including magnetic resonance imaging, electroencephalography, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.
