Radoslaw Sikorski
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, political scientist, former war correspondent and expert in the field of transatlantic relations.
Radosław Sikorski is one of the most prominent figures of Polish diplomacy, a graduate of the University of Oxford and a Senior Fellow of Harvard University. He gained experience in analyzing human attitudes in border situations as a war reporter in Afghanistan and Angola. During his state career, he held the positions of Minister of National Defence, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Marshal of the Sejm. He was also a Member of the European Parliament, chairing the Delegation for Relations with the United States.
As a co-founder of the Eastern Partnership and leader of the EU mission in Kiev in 2014, he has repeatedly proved effective in crisis management and international negotiations. Selected to the prestigious Top 100 Global Thinkers by Foreign Policy magazine for his courage in preaching unobvious truths. He is the author of numerous publications, including “Prochy świętych” or “Poland. State of the State”, in which he combines a historical perspective with an insightful observation of contemporary mechanisms of power and political psychology.
