Description:
War is one of the key potentially traumatic events affecting not only individuals, but entire societies. Understanding the psychological context is essential both for preventing escalation mechanisms that lead to armed conflicts and for providing effective support to those struggling with their consequences. During the first congress session, we will reflect on how the threat and experience of war affect emotional well-being, social attitudes, and interpersonal relationships, as well as why trauma may sustain a spiral of hostility instead of fostering peace. We invite you to join this unique session featuring the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the former Minister of Justice and Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as distinguished social psychologists.
