
Iwona Zabielska-Stadnik
For the past 11 years, she has served as Editor-in-Chief of Newsweek Psychologia, Newsweek Psychologia Dziecka, and Newsweek Psychologia Nastolatka — original publishing projects she created for Ringier Axel Springer Polska. She is also an initiating and managing editor of books and special publishing projects.
For the past three years, she has been a jury member in the competition for the best psychology-themed film at the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival. She hosts author meetings, debates, and panel discussions.
She graduated in гуманistic philosophy and completed postgraduate studies in business psychology. She has been involved in psychoeducation for 16 years. She actively promotes the humanities as complementary disciplines that help explain human nature and behavior, as well as psychotherapy as one of the healthiest approaches to improving mental well-being.
Over the years, she has been associated with various media outlets, working for Businessman Magazine, Przekrój, Zwierciadło, and Sens. She also runs her own independent publishing house.
She is the co-author of the book You Have Rights, Human, which was also published in Taiwan using traditional Chinese characters. Through her publications, she promotes the work of Polish illustrators and graphic artists.
The book Daję słowo. Wędrówki po języku i literaturze (I Give My Word: Journeys Through Language and Literature), which she initiated and published, received the Book of the Year award from the Polish section of IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) in the category of “Illustrations and Graphic Design Concept.”
