
Joanna Wyka
Specialist in food technology, human nutrition, and dietetics. Her research focuses on the determinants of dietary habits, nutritional status, and nutritional factors influencing the health of various population groups, including older adults. She is the author of numerous scientific publications and monographs devoted, among others, to the nutritional prevention of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), nutritional interventions in the treatment of diabetes and obesity, as well as nutritional support and dietary supplementation for athletes.
She is actively involved in academic teaching, delivering lectures and practical classes across multiple study programmes at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. She is the Head of the postgraduate programmes “Psychodietetics” and “Nutrition and Dietary Supplementation for Athletes”, and also serves as the supervisor of the Student Research Group “Human Nutrition”.
