Algorithm vs. Emotion – Love in the Online Era: The Psychology of Modern Dating
Description:
This workshop explores how we choose partners today and where our preferences come from. Participants will examine the factors influencing our perception of attractiveness, including evolutionary adaptations, culture, advertising, and social media. We will also reflect on how the way we form relationships is changing in the era of dating apps.
The session will feature short experiments and exercises (such as selecting the most attractive face) to help participants better understand phenomena like the halo effect, beauty ideals, and attachment styles. We will also discuss mindfulness in relationships, "red and green flags," and how to build more conscious and fulfilling connections.
