Description:

During the workshop, I will share my experience gained as a music therapist at the Inpatient Hospice operating within the Bonfratres Medical Center. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the specifics of working in palliative care and the role music plays in it. One part of the session will involve direct contact with instruments used in daily music therapy practice. However, the main part of the workshop will focus on topics related to songs — their significance in human life and their potential use in working with palliative care patients. I will present selected techniques for working with songs and invite participants to jointly experience one of the music therapy methods, based precisely on songs and memory work.

I hope the workshop will become a space for mindfulness and pause — an opportunity for respite, but also to look at the world of hospice from a perspective of kindness, presence, and possibility.
