
Aleksandra Łuszczyńska
Head of the Center for Applied Research on Health Behaviors and Health (CARE BEH) at SWPS University, Wrocław Campus. She is a Corresponding Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on lifestyle change, particularly promoting physical activity, reducing sedentary behaviors, and shifting to a healthier diet for both people and the planet. She specializes in developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions and policies for chronic disease prevention, including obesity. She leads 'research and development' and 'research and innovation' projects funded by the European Commission: LIKE-A-PRO, BETTER4U, OBCT, MELIORA, and IM-EQ. She has worked at the University of Sussex (UK) and Freie Universitaet Berlin (Germany). Since 2008, she has also been affiliated with the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, USA. She is among the top 2% most cited scientists worldwide. Her research has been recognized with national and international awards, including the Prime Minister of Poland's Award for Scientific Achievements, the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award of the International Association of Applied Psychology, and an Honorary Professorship at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
