Anastasia Giannaki
Mental health professional and consultant at the WHO Quality of Care and Patient Safety Office in Athens, working on child and adolescent mental health across the WHO European Region. Her work focuses on strengthening mental health systems, improving quality of care, promoting youth engagement, and translating evidence into policies, services, and practices that respond to real-world needs.
She has played a key role in developing and coordinating the Young Researchers Forum, an initiative that empowers early-career researchers to contribute actively to mental health systems, policy, and innovation. Anastasia holds an MSc and PhD in stress management and cardiovascular health, and is particularly interested in the connections between mental health, well-being, resilience, and sustainable, people-centered care.
At the intersection of research, practice, and policy, she is passionate about creating spaces where young people, researchers, professionals, and decision-makers can come together to reimagine mental health care and build more inclusive, compassionate, and effective health systems.
