Joanna Matera

Social psychologist, researcher, and trainer. She was nominated for the Forbes Women “Women of the Year 2025” award. At the New Community Foundation, she coordinated social and educational projects, including dialogue initiatives for schools and young people, and currently facilitates dialogues and good conversation trainings. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the Center for Research on Prejudice at the University of Warsaw and taught at SWPS University. As part of the European Solidarity Corps, she completed a one-year volunteering programme at the London-based organization Roma Support Group. She has also collaborated with organizations in Poland and abroad, including Amnesty International, Kurt Löwenstein Educational Centre, and Hashomer Hatzair. She specializes in workshops and projects that support dialogue, counter social polarization, and foster a culture of cooperation.
