
Katarzyna Grunt-Mejer
PhD in Humanities in the field of Psychology (Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw), integrative psychotherapist (Dialogue Psychotherapy School), psychosexologist (European Federation of Sexology and European Society for Sexual Medicine), and bioethicist (Institute of Philosophy, University of Warsaw). Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology and Law, SWPS University in Poznań.
Founder and Head of two postgraduate programmes at SWPS University in Poznań: Practical Sexology and Psychedelics and Altered States of Consciousness: Applications in Psychotherapy and Medicine. Researcher focused on the social perception of non-mononormative relationships, the phenomenon of the medicalization of sexuality, and the concept of norms in sexology. Principal investigator and researcher in national and international research projects.
Member of the Scientific Council of the Polish Psychedelic Society and member of scientific associations including The International Academy of Sex Research, The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, The European Association for the History of Medicine and Health, the European Society for Health and Medical Sociology, and the Philosophy of Science Association. Author of numerous publications in the fields of psychology and the philosophy of sexuality.
In her therapeutic work, she helps clients experience a life full of meaning, courage, and satisfaction. Her particular areas of expertise include supporting individuals in consensually non-monogamous relationships, people experiencing challenges in the areas of sexuality and relationships, as well as individuals with non-normative sexual, gender, and relational identities. She also provides education on the safe and effective use of psychedelics and empathogens in medicine and psychotherapy and works with the integration of psychedelic experiences.
