What does it mean to “be a man” today? Modern masculinity is increasingly moving away from traditional patterns of strength, dominance, and emotional distance, giving way to greater sensitivity, openness, and partnership. These changes are not always easy — many men face the pressure to redefine their own identity in a world that expects empathy while still punishing for “weakness.” Thus, as you can see, new models of masculinity affect not only the well-being of men themselves, but also their relationships in an ambiguous way.
