
Adam Wichniak
Physician, psychiatry. He works at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, where he serves as the head of the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic and the Sleep Medicine Center. His scientific research focuses on methods for diagnosing and treating mental disorders, including schizophrenia, depression, sleep disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. In addition to specializing in psychiatry, he completed training and obtained a sleep medicine certificate from the Polish Sleep Research Society, a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist certificate from the Polish Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, and an EEG license from the Polish Society of Clinical Neurophysiology.
He is a member of the Board and Treasurer of the Polish Psychiatric Association, Chairman of the Biological Psychiatry Section of the Polish Psychiatric Association, Secretary of the Task Force on Sleep Disorders of the World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP), a member of the Insomnia Expert Panel of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), Chairman of the Sleep and Wakefulness Disorders Section of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), as well as a member of the Board and Secretary of the Polish Sleep Research Society.
