Alicja Basiak-Rasała

Dr. Alicja Basiak-Rasała is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Population Health and Prevention of Civilization Diseases at Wroclaw Medical University. She is involved as a researcher in prospective cohort studies conducted at the Department, including the Polish cohort of the Prospective Urban and Rural Epidemiological (PURE) study and the Population Cohort Study of Wroclaw Citizens (PICTURE).

Her scientific and teaching work focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of non-communicable diseases, with particular emphasis on the impact of behavioral and socio-economic factors. She has academic and teaching experience in the fields of disease prevention, health promotion, and public health.

She is also a co-editor of the textbook for teachers titled “Health Education.”
