Patryk Knapczyk

He was born on August 16, 1991, in Rabka-Zdrój, Poland. He graduated from the Antoni Kenar Secondary School of Fine Arts in Zakopane. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław in the Faculty of Interior Architecture, Design, and Stage Design, where he specialized in Design. He received his degree in 2021.

Since 2016, he has been working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where he currently leads the Fundamentals of Design studio in the Design program. He has also taught courses in Computer-Aided Design, History of Watchmaking, and 3D Printing. Since 2024, he has served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Interior Architecture, Design, and Stage Design.

He has experience in designing a wide range of products, including military and rescue lighting, civilian lighting, industrial machine enclosures, transport solutions, intralogistics systems, and medical devices.

His research focuses on unconventional ways of measuring time, as well as innovative materials and technologies in product design. In particular, he explores experimental approaches to time measurement and develops unique wristwatches using materials such as 3D-printed components, resins, and wood.
