Description:
Old age is a period in a person's life that is associated with an increased risk of somatic diseases. There is also an increased risk of negative cognitive changes in memory, cognitive control, and overall performance. Psychological and neurocognitive research increases our knowledge of aging. They also result in the creation of effective tools to prevent negative cognitive changes or mitigate their effects. Healthy aging is a model of social and cognitive functioning of seniors despite the risks associated with this period of life.
